NEW SIGN-OUT & Off-Campus Policy
Beginning Monday, September 8th, 2025, there will be a NEW Policy when signing your child out of school for doctors' appointments, illnesses, and misc. appointments.
Our online "Parent Connect > Report An Absence" will no longer be available. Checking your child out digitality is not an option.
For the safety of your child, a parent, guardian or a person listed on your child's contact list MUST physically walk into the Clovis West front office to sign-out and pick-up your child for any reason. Phone calls made to the front office for pre-arranged off campus passes or releasing your child from class will not be processed or granted.
When you arrive in the front office to sign-out and pick-up your child, the off-campus pass will be written, and your child will then be pulled from class.
It's important that you know your child's schedule and expect delays when picking up your child if they are coming from P.E. Classes.
The only phone calls that will be processed are to report a Full Day Absence or if your child will be arriving late to school. For your convenience, you may use the 24-hour phone line to report absences @ 559-327-2251.
We understand that this new policy might be difficult for working parents to come into the office and sign out your child, so you may update and add to your contact list on parent connect anytime. Changes will take 24 hours to update.
Log into Parent Connect:
Click> Annual Update Information
Click> Emergency & Release Contacts
Click> Add Additional Contacts at the bottom
(add contacts)
Click> small box "I agree that I have reviewed....."
Click> SUBMIT on the top
Again, your child will not be able to leave school early unless a person listed on the contact list has walked into the front office to sign them out.
Student’s who do leave campus without being signed out by a person on their contact list or without a pass, will be marked truant and given a consequence by the SRC office.
