Golden Eagle Students

Clovis West Student, Allison Taylor, Class of 2025, had an impressive showing at the Fresno Fair winning Best of Show for both the Painting and Drawing categories as well as winning a special awards from Allard’s Art Store!

The Fresno Fair consists of the top high school artists from throughout Fresno County so just to have a piece in the show is an accomplishment, but to win Best of Show, in two different mediums, is incredible!
Congratulations to freshman, Alyssa Kelzer, for winning the Martin Luther King Jr. Fresno County essay contest.  Click below to view her essay.

Congratulations to freshman, Alma De Leon Garvey, for her Excellent rating on her artwork in the Martin Luther King Jr. Fresno County Contest.

Explanation: Instead or pushing others down for our own benefit, we need to pull others up to better our society. When looking at my piece from left to right you'll see how with effort and compassion we can help those who are in need achieve greatness. However if you were to read it right to left, you'll notice how we start of holding on together but with hate, mistrust, and corruption, we slowly loose hold of our humanity until we fall into a world of division and darkness. We as a species need to strive to reach for the light and help the others along the way for the sake of what we want to stand for.
