Clovis Community College Center Advantage Program (CCCAP) CCCAP students take 2 pre-identified transferable courses per semester at the Clovis Community Herndon Campus. Students who successfully complete all 4 courses will earn 12 general education (GE) college credits and 20 high school elective credits. Classes are held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons from 1pm - 3pm. Enrollment fees are waived, but students are responsible for purchasing their own college textbooks. Transportation is provided by Clovis Unified. Courses offered are limited to four specific classes: Art 2 - Art Appreciation; Psychology 2 - General Psychology; History 1 - Western Civilization to 1648; Sociology 1A - Introduction to Sociology.
To qualify, students must meet the following requirements: Senior on-track for graduation with a 3.0 GPA or above Approval from parents, principal and high school counselor Must be enrolled in 4 classes at your high school.

Clovis Community College Enrichment Program The Clovis Community College Educational Enrichment Program offers students in 10th, 11th, and 12th grades an opportunity to enroll in college courses and receive college credit for up to two courses per semester. Completion of the Clovis Community Placement Test is required prior to enrolling in select courses. Enrollment fees are waived, but students are responsible for purchasing their own college textbooks. Transportation IS NOT provided and students DO NOT receive high school elective credit for classes taken through the Educational Enrichment program. However, students have a wide range of courses to choose from and most of the classes are transferable to a CSU/UC campus. To qualify, students must meet the following requirements: 11th and 12th grade student who is on-track for graduation and have a 2.5 minimum GPA (GPA is computed based on all courses completed, excluding PE) OR 10th grade student who is on-track for graduation and have a 3.0 minimum GPA (GPA is computed based on all courses completed, excluding PE Approval from parents, principal, and high school counselor. Advanced Placement AP classes offer a challenging and stimulation educational experience for college bound students. When compared to other high school courses, AP classes often take more time, require more work, and give greater opportunity for individual growth and accomplishment. In May, AP exams are taken and scored on a 5 point scale. Most major colleges and universities recognize scores of 3, 4, or 5 for college credit. The amount and type of credit awarded varies by institution.
Clovis West currently offers 25 AP classes. Students enrolled in an AP courses are expected to take the corresponding AP exam in May. There is a $93 fee per AP exam. However, financial assistance is available to those who qualify. | Resources |
Dual Enrollment Sections Expository Reading & Writing (P) (ERWC)/English 1A: The ERWC/English 1A dual enrollment class is taught at Clovis High and is open to 12th grade students only. Students take Expository Reading & Writing (P) in the fall and English 1A in the spring. A placement test will be administered in December to confirm eligibility for English 1A. Student who successfully complete both semesters will earn 4 college credits for English 1A and 10 high school English credits. CTE Education Careers: In the spring, students will enroll in Education 10 - Introduction to Teaching, an online course through Clovis Community College. Students earn 3 college credits, 10 high school English credits, and 10 high school elective credits. CTE Education Careers is only open to 12th grade students with a 2.5 GPA or above. CTE Careers with Children: In the fall, students will enroll in Child Development 1 - Principles and Practices of Teaching Young Children, an online course through Clovis Community College. Students earn 3 college credits and 20 high school elective credits. CTE Careers with Children is open to 11th and 12th grade students with a 2.5 GPA or above. CTE Programs: Fire Fighting Technology and Building Scaled Structures: Dual Enrollment credit is also for eligible students enrolled in the aforementioned CTE courses. Instructors will provide information on enrolling for college credit. CART Interactive Game Design: Student will be enrolled in IS 50A in the fall and IS 50B in the spring. Students earn 3 units of college credit per semester. CART's Interactive Game Design lab is open to returning CART students (12th) with a 2.5 GPA or above.
